An Early Spring!

The Groundhog day celebration is rooted in a German superstition that says if a hibernating animal casts a shadow on February 2nd, the Christian holiday of Candlemas, winter will last another six weeks. If no shadow was seen, legend says there will be an early spring. Thankfully, our little groundhog friend did NOT see his shadow this year = Early Spring! Living in Wisconsin, this really means nothing to me seeing as winter basically lasted through May last year which exceeded the extra six weeks, but still wishful thinking :)
