Favela Painting Project.

Haas&Hahn is the business name that duo Jeroen Koolhaas and Dre Urhahn have given themselves while working on their beautifully crafted paintings. Some of the places they have made murals in, such as the favelas of Rio and Santa Marta were inspired originally by a documentary about hip hop that they did for MTV. Now they are traveling through Brazil creating these bright colored murals in some of the worlds most unexpected locations. Their project is so inspiring and not bad to look at.

Whenever I think of Rio de Janeiro I can't help but come back to the movie City of God. It's not a 'feel-good' movie so if you like happy endings it may not be your cup of tea, but is eye-opening. It is beautifully made and honestly makes you take another look at the fortunes you were given in life. I was pretty much at the end of my seat the whole time because I could never predict what was going to happen next.
