rainy days.

rainy day today. our local borders (waldenbooks) store is sadly closing and it's been around since as long as i can remember. clara and i took a trip over there since everything is 40-60% off. i purchased three barefoot contessa cookbooks and six fancy nancy books for baby. little does she know she will have to earn them through birthdays and christmas' :) when i move away she will need nancy to teach her the ways of fanciness!

Do these colors not just make you want to melt? Yum. This is all the more reason why I neeeed to learn to knit. It's been one of those things on my list of things to do, now it's time to commit, perfect for the upcoming weather.

What gives Wisconsin? It's like 50 degrees and windy here, I'm not mentally prepared for this. We have the fireplace going and everyone is bundled in blankets curled up with books here at the cottage.
