11,000 paper lanterns.

in celebration of the summer solstice 11,000 paper lanterns were released into the air of Poznań, Poland. the effect is remarkable giving the sky thousands of man-made stars. honestly, i wish, wish, wish i could have seen this - absolutely stunning.

A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life.” -vogueweekend. in december i cut 12 inches of my hair, so every time i see a really adorable short hairdo i'm in full appreciation, the possibilities seem so endless now!

music monday 39..(on a tuesday).

ok, this music monday on a tuesday is not becoming a regular thing. i was very busy yesterday and baby Clara did not want to take a nap, at all. this song is beautiful. i'm listening to it with the windows open and can hear the breeze blowing the leaves while the sun is shining, how i wish i had a hammock!

reading frenzy.

oh man, oh man. i was just reading a cup of joe and found this amazing site, what should I read next? all you need to do is type in the name of a book you like and it will recommend books that are similar! i always have a book on hand to read and am frustrated at times when i don't have anything exciting to look forward to. say, a book about a subject i'm interested in, but written to be a snooze. if you've had similar occurrences, the search is over! it's already been added to my favorites...

ep #139: cindy sherman.

"episode #139: cindy sherman reveals how dressing up in character began as a kind of performance and evolved into her earliest photographic series such as "bus riders" (1976), "untitled film stills" (1970-1980), and the untitled rear screen projections (1980)." definitely worth taking a peek!
